These are projection photographs of diffusing breast milk and writing ink, taken at the 2017 private viewing of the “48h Neukölln” Art Festival performance in Berlin
“The light image on the blank canvas, captured on the photo, is to me, a metaphor for human identity. The image was created by projecting light, through a basin filled with water, into which- drop by drop- writing ink and breast milk were added. The blank canvas turned into a light painting, mirroring the movement of the liquids. The drops of breast milk, are symbol of our most existential bond- the mother bond– nourishing our body and soul, forming a life line that connects us as humankind. The ink: symbol for our cultural identity, inscribed in the books, that form our understanding of the principles that define the order of the society we live in.”

“This peace captures the fusion of two liquids: writing ink and breast milk in a water basin. The drops of breast milk added into the basin are a symbol of our most existential bond – the mother bond– nourishing our body and soul, forming a life line that connects us as humankind. The writing ink: stands for our cultural identity, inscribed in the books, which form our understanding of the principles that define the order of the society we live in.”
